Mother's Day Recipe: Red Wine Beef Ragu Ingredients 1/3 to ½ cup dry red wine 3 tablespoons tomato paste (or tomato-based pasta sauce) 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour ½ to 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar 1 medium onion 5 cloves garlic 1 to 1 ½ teaspoon thyme 1 ½ to 2 cups of fresh tomatoes, crushed 2 lb lean brisket Sea salt Ground black pepper Basil, fresh Grated Parmesan Directions In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the wine, tomato paste, flour vinegar, onion, garlic, thyme and fresh tomatoes. Slice the brisket into 3 inch thick pieces, season lightly with salt and pepper. Place into the mixing bowl and let marinate for 10-15 mins.
