1 ¼ cup of sugar (use 1 ½ if you prefer it sweeter)
2 ½ teaspoon of ground ginger
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup espresso (double espresso shot)
1 cup steamed milk with a little foam
In a small saucepan, heat water, sugar, ginger, cinnamon and vanilla until sugar has melted and the ingredients are well combined. Stir occasionally. Simmer for 8-10 mins. (If you prefer a stronger gingerbread taste, simmer for 15-17 mins)
Choose your favourite espresso capsule and select the “Espresso” button at the top on the ChefWave Kava. Repeat again.
Steam the milk in a cup with a handheld milk frother or use an electric milk frother. (If you don’t like foam, simply heat up the milk in the microwave)
Make your latte by first adding the espresso, then the gingerbread syrup and top off with the steamed milk (with or without foam)
**Optional serving tip: top off with some whipping cream and a sprinkle of nutmeg.
